A SHARED STORY: NEVER SAY, 'I WOULD NEVER DO THAT!'

LINDA LEHTONEN

A Shared Story: Never Say, 'I Would Never Do That!'I have said those words. I have said "I will never do that!" But, you know what...sometimes it is fun to try things that seem out of your zone.

I was watching someone text one day and I thought that it was a lazy way to keep in touch. I thought Facebook was silly and another lazy way to keep contact with others. I even thought that I would not enjoy working at home for I "love" being with others. Guess what! My husband got a great job and he is not able to call me all day. He is gone about 13 hours a day, so we began to text one another. Yes, I text! Wow. It is awesome. And, now, I miss him, but, I can still keep him posted on my day and he can get in touch with me as he has the time :)

A Shared Story: Never Say, 'I Would Never Do That!'I got on Facebook when my last grandson was born over a year ago. I wanted to be able to see his photos. I watch him now 2 days a week, but, Facebook has brought back classmates, old friends and out of town cousins back into my life. I am so grateful for that.

I live in a new city and do not know many people yet, and, I do work at home now. Guess what? I LOVE IT. It has been such fun being able to use my creativity and have the time to spend on our new home and our puppy as well.

So, don't ever say I would never do that.....you NEVER KNOW :)

gramaj Linda, I love your story. I too have reconnected with high school friends and cousins I haven't seen or talked to in years. I love it. And now We are friends, you and I :) thanks to face book....
