A SHARED STORY: WHAT WILL BE WILL BE

JANICE COMEAU-PATRIZZ

A SHARED STORY: What Will Be Will BeWell, here we go again! Another year is upon us and still looking for a job.

I know I am not alone here. I'm hoping to find a little "grama" type job. You know the one where I smile and answer the phone and transfer the call ?

Maybe a couple of hours a day. I still have to see my grandchildren, don't you know.

A couple of days a week I have promised to the gym. I just might be the youngest one there. Some days I feel like a little chick-a-dee. That's the gym where NO ONE has speedo's on.

With insurance companies dropping doctors the way they do, I am once again in search of a new doctor. Will my mission ever end?

I will be 67 years old next month and I am in total shock about it. What???? What???? When did this happen?
I just got out of high school. Who's that 45 year old boy I talk to? My son? Can't be, I just got out of high school.

As I look into his eyes I see my reflection, he is my son. He is 45 years old and yes, I am 66 years old and so happy to be. After all what's my alternative?

No thanks, not yet, not ready. Got stuff to do, people to see, places to go.

No real resolutions. Just hoping to be more tolerant of others and count my blessings a little more often.

Happy New Year to all and Happy Naps.
