A SHARED STORY: MY HOPES FOR 2012
KEN PHILO
This year, 2012, my oldest son and his girlfriend will be getting their own apartment, while my youngest son, his wife and the grandkids are going to Florida. My youngest son owns his house outright, so he wants me to move in there and keep up the house, the yard, and pay the property taxes. I hope to make several more flowerbeds, grow some potatoes, perhaps some cucumbers, sunflowers, and generally clean up the yard. For almost 40 years my biggest goal has been to have a house in the country with a nice yard that I can garden with. Now, at the age of 56, I'll finally be achieving that goal, albeit in a roundabout sort of way. I hope to make the place my Happy little Hippie Homestead. I also hope the trailer park I now live in will buy the house trailer back from me, so I don't get another black mark on my credit rating.
