A SHARED STORY: A DETERMINED WOMAN

NEWBORN60

A SHARED STORY: A Determined WomanIf you wish to know my history, I can say it is a real love one.  When I use my nickname, newborn60, it is because all the good things are happening in my life since last year. I am Brazilian, now married to a hard working American man, who I met on a dating site in the end of 2010.  I never thought that virtual friendship relationship could transform literally my life, from being a city lady, from Rio de Janeiro, to now living in a motor home, in the country side of Texas, not accustomed to wake up with the cows’ noise, but happy for loving and being loved.

I belong to a family of 5 women and one brother, all of them married.  I have nephews, nieces, and also one grandnephew.  It was not easy for me to stay alone on New Year’s night, but in the deep of my heart , I know that I have someone who really cares for me.

I met my husband in November 2010, a few days after my nephew, 23 years old, had a car crash and almost lost his life.  He stayed at the hospital 55 days, and came back just on New Year’s eve.  It was a sign of God  that gave him a new chance.  In this meantime my fiancé stayed at my side giving me support.  During those terrible days I was living with my family and he was entering in my life slowly, slowly, and I realized he took care of my heart.  In January 2011, he had a heart attack and three stents were put in.  I was pretty scared and afraid to lose him, since two years ago, I had lost my almost mate, one English man 66 years old, from cancer in the brain.

I lived with my sisters, and they were always critical about my virtual romances, but I am a determined woman, and never give up on my dreams.  They did not believe when they saw my marriage photos at Grace Sweet marriages, showing all the happiness someone can feel. We did not have a wedding, or our rings, because he is still trying to make the money on board of a truck staying two weeks out and 3 days off, so he can build our house on some land he bought. I wish so much to get some work to help him, but I cannot still yet, since I do not have the papers in the USA.  However concerning this topic, work, I confess, I am not so optimistic. I have been reading the articles here on this site about the difficulties to return to the workplace at my age, mainly being foreign, if it’s so bad for the natives.

This is the love's history of a Determined Woman. I hope 2012 brings much luck for all of us. God bless
