NowAGrandma I hate to admit it but I'll be sad to see "All My Children" leave the air later this year. I don't have tome to watch it all the time now beacsue I work, but I tape it and watch it every so often at night. I remember loving it when the kids were little, I'd put them down for a nap and put my feet up for some much needed down time.
Thu Apr 21, 2011, 11:21:06 AM EDT
Jackie I've gotten hooked on AMC's "The Killing". I really like the "treasure hunt" aspect of the investigation. FYI, it's pretty intense.
Tue Apr 19, 2011, 1:16:38 PM EDT
ErikD Sounds like my kind of show, some of the mystery shows have become too cookie cutter anymore.
Tue Apr 19, 2011, 2:23:00 PM EDT
LovesToRead You have to check out this show, Bitchen Kithen on the Cooking Channel. It is so over the top, the set, retro with red and green, skulls and plastic baby dolls. Yep, you read that right, and the womon who the hostess, to say the least, is over the top in her style. She was doing a "make up meal" with all sorts of interesting comments. You have to check this one out!
Wed Apr 13, 2011, 10:31:39 PM EDT
Jackie Sounds hilarious! I'll definitely see if I can find it.
Tue Apr 19, 2011, 1:15:29 PM EDT
rxneesa Regarding American Idol ~ Always loved, but what happened last week with Pia Toscano , has turned me off. They really need to change voting system. Whie I know Pia will probably do better without AI, it's true that unlimited voting changes the whole dynamics of the show.
Wed Apr 13, 2011, 8:29:57 AM EDT
LovesToRead You are right on with your review of AI, the voting system has become a popularity contest run by teenage girls.
Wed Apr 13, 2011, 10:34:33 PM EDT
rxneesa I loved Life Unexpected on the CW, but looks like its being cancelled. But always love ~ Greys Anatomy, Private Practice, Brothers and Sisters, Raising Hope. Newer shows that are great are ~ The Good Wife, Harrys Law, and Body of Proof.
Wed Apr 13, 2011, 8:27:36 AM EDT
DarbysMom I agree 100%
Tue Apr 12, 2011, 7:09:57 PM EDT
Jackie Regarding American Idol, IMO they seriously need to do something about the voting method they're using. There's another reality show, I think it's called So You Think You Can Dance or something like that, which lets the public vote, then the judges put their two cents in and the voting is combined with theirs. American Idol winds up with a certain demographic voting for the most "swoon-ish" male contestants, IMO. Probably why there haven't been more female winners in recent years. In any case, it seems the runners up often wind up with the better careers. Just look at Jennifer Hudson!
Tue Apr 12, 2011, 10:55:58 AM EDT
Jackie Anyone watching The Borgias on Showtime? Or Nurse Jackie or The United States of Tara on the same channel?
Tue Apr 12, 2011, 10:50:43 AM EDT
ksp056 I haven't watched the Borgias, yet. I do enjoy US of Tara! And Nurse Jackie is one of my favorite shows. Both are funny and bittersweet. I find myself laughing...alot!
Wed Apr 20, 2011, 6:11:35 AM EDT

Sailinggirl49 I've just found a new show called Being Human, on the Sci-fi channel. I've only caught a few shows, but at least it is different then most showes out there. It has a vampire, werewolf, and ghost all living together. The actor that plays the vampire is really hot.
Mon Mar 7, 2011, 11:23:07 PM EST
Jackie Guilty pleasure pick: American Idol. Every year I tell myself I won't get sucked in, but I wind up watching at least the last few. This year, with all the totally amazing talent, I'm watching it from start to finish. Some of these kids could be making CD's already, IMO!
Sat Mar 5, 2011, 1:50:38 PM EST
AnnML I agree, at first I would not let myself get caught up in American Idol, but I have to admit I watch it now!
Sun Mar 6, 2011, 9:19:34 PM EST
Jackie Raising Hope is a fairly new addition to my TV favorites list. Love it! Glee used to be a favorite, but something has happened to the show that's taken away what I liked about it originally. Not enough Sue, too much bursting into Broadway-style singing that sometimes just seems waaaaay over the top, IMO.
Sat Mar 5, 2011, 1:48:17 PM EST
LovesToRead OK, I know it is a guilty pleasure but I’m glad to see Survivor back on, does any one else watch it? We always try to guess who is going to get voted off next.
Thu Feb 17, 2011, 10:48:38 PM EST
I watch a few things on Syfi but have not seen Haven what is it about?
Tue Apr 12, 2011, 11:41:57 AM EDT
dpatke Love Survivor and Haven on SyFi, did anyone catch it over the summer? I hear a second season is in the works. Drop Dead Diva is coming back for another season, love it as well.
Tue Apr 12, 2011, 11:17:59 AM EDT
Nona love the show "Lie To Me" it makes you start paying attention to everyone you talk to ~ LOL!
Thu Feb 3, 2011, 7:27:56 PM EST
PaulT I don’t know about anyone else, I looking forward to the Super Bowl. Great friends, too much food, possibly a good game, and killer commercials.
Thu Feb 3, 2011, 1:59:18 PM EST
LovesToRead I love all most of the cooking shows, Top Chef, Worst Cooks in America, anything on the Cooking Channel.
Mon Jan 31, 2011, 9:57:19 PM EST
Storylady5 Big Bang Theory -- funny, original, and Sheldon is absolutely the breakout star. Oh, and if you record the episodes, make sure to freeze frame Chuck Lorre's vanity cards, at the end. They are a hoot. If you can't read them that way, Google "vanity cards" and read them on-line.
Thu Jan 27, 2011, 1:38:16 PM EST
Sailinggirl49 I saw “American Pickers” a couple of months ago for the first time. It was really a kind of cool idea with those two guys spending part of their time just driving hunting around for old houses and farms that look like they have a hoarder/collector living in them. Good thing they have a camera crew following them or one of these days someone will meet them with a rifle. One of the shows I saw was about some old guy that was building his own walled in maze of rooms containing all sorts of stuff he had found over the years. If it weren’t for the old guy they would have been lost in the maze of junk. It really is interesting though to see some of the finds they come across, it makes you think “what have I got around here I could sell” or worse yet, I just gave that away to Goodwill last week. There is a new show on Bravo that has a lady who does estate sales, it made my husband laugh when he saw the Ford Pinto, since he drove one in high school.
Sat Jan 22, 2011, 6:26:45 PM EST
SilverintheMist Oh and a PS: If they never did another "Law and Order" ANYTHING, I would be so happy!!! The constant re-runs my husband watches (this show is on somewhere all the time) are killing me...no pun intended.
Wed Jan 19, 2011, 12:21:13 PM EST
SilverintheMist Hey, did anyone see the one on Pawn Stars, where another pawn shop owner brought in a supposed 'shrunken head' to sell to them? Too funny! Any American Picker fans out there?
Wed Jan 19, 2011, 12:18:35 PM EST
dwthepoet Haven't watched much TV lately...but my fav's are : House, Law & Order, Criminal Intent, NCIS, CSI, Two and a Half Men, According To Jim, Reba, Seinfeld, that 70's show, America's Funniest Videos, Danncing With the stars....and the list goes on!
Sun Jan 16, 2011, 9:34:47 PM EST
ErikD You have agree with you on Seinfeld, they still can make me laugh.
Tue Apr 19, 2011, 2:25:15 PM EDT
Jackie Any Breaking Bad fans here? I know the show is definitely not for everyone, but I really like tuning in to see what will happen to Walt and Jessie next! Can't wait for the next new season. The seasons that have been on so far are being aired Wednesdays after midnight on AMC.
Sun Jan 9, 2011, 6:58:31 PM EST
PaulT I have to agree with you on Pawn Stars. Sometimes have to laugh when I see some of the things folks bring in, other times I think to myself "didn't I see something like that in my dad's attic"? Do you think some of them go out and buy something odd just to get on the show?
Tue Jan 4, 2011, 10:38:15 PM EST
DarbysMom I love Pawn Stars, American Pickers, HGTV, What Not To Wear, fashions on QVC.
Tue Jan 4, 2011, 8:44:40 PM EST
AnnH When I watched What Not To Wear, I wondered if they just went out and purchased really bad stuff to wear in pictures of themselves so they would be picked. Then I went out shopping at mall and started looking around at some of the outfits and realized, that "yes" there are some really bad outfits being worn out and about.
Tue Apr 12, 2011, 11:00:24 AM EDT
Brent Brent I enjoy Criminal Minds, Bones, Cold Case, Mike & Molly, 2 1/2 Men, NCIS, The History Channel, and reruns of Friends, Seinfeld, Fox & Frends, Law & Order, House, MD and maybe one or two more that I've missed.
Mon Dec 27, 2010, 4:00:44 AM EST
ErikD Good to see someone else who likes the History Channel. I finf it is a great way to clear the room of my wife and kids for a while. The Civil War was on the other day, I got the room to myself for that one.
Tue Apr 19, 2011, 2:28:03 PM EDT

Sun Dec 19, 2010, 9:27:26 PM EST
Jo-Anne Saw the new Law & Order: Los angeles. I hate to say it, but I was disappointed. I don't know what Law & Order's secret sauce is, but this show doesn't have it. I'm going to give it another couple of weeks though, to see if they correct this. Let's hope so.
Sat Oct 9, 2010, 10:02:32 PM EDT
vickigburg "Chuck" (Monday Night) is my newest fav! It reminds me of "Mr & Mrs North" (is that too far back??) and "Hart to Hart" - I really enjoy suspense blended with comedy.
Tue Oct 5, 2010, 11:23:44 AM EDT
ruth HI Everyone, Glad to be here and share with you. Dancing With The Stars is a show my husband and I enjoy together. For me HGTV, Food Network, and other shows here and there are my favs. All time favorite is Jeopardy.

Thu Sep 16, 2010, 11:31:30 AM EDT
onlqqker I like the PBS series of British Mysteries; Dexter; House; Sons of Anarchy and did like True Blood until this season when it went flat for me. Thise are the ones I try not to miss, but I do watch general TV...ok, I love the true crime shows. I watch these while I am doing crafts. I don't like many of the comedy shows. My Name Is Earl kinda grew on me though.
Mon Sep 13, 2010, 11:20:51 PM EDT
emilyp I absolutely love Sons of Anarchy.
Thu Feb 3, 2011, 9:00:02 AM EST
buckigirl I love a lot of the original programming on HBO and Showtime. It's often raw, but very honest. Right now I'm watching Weeds, The Big C, and Hung -- on demand. I'm looking forward to the start of Boardwalk Empire. On the networks 30 Rock, The Office, Parks and Recreation, Community, Cougartown and, my new favorite, Modern Family, are always worth watching. My tastes are eclectic -- I loved the Cranford series on PBS, too.
Mon Sep 13, 2010, 9:46:26 AM EDT
Jackie I also like the more "raw"-type shows. I'm surprised "Breaking Bad" is on AMC! Very, VERY raw at times. But I couldn't get enough of it! ha ha I only wish there wasn't going to be such a long wait for Season 4. I also like "30 Rock" and really liked "Cranford", too. "The Middle" is another of the few comedy shows I like (besides "30 Rock", which I think has some of the funniest characters and funniest lines of any comedy show on TV).
Thu Sep 16, 2010, 7:33:34 PM EDT
Jackie I'm excited about the new season starts of Castle (Sept. 20) and Criminal Minds (Sept. 22). I'll have to wait till June of 2011 for the 4th season of Breaking Bad, though! :^( I'm also glad Rizzoli & Isles will be back for another season. I wonder if they'll keep it in next year's summer lineup or might add it to the fall lineup next year and make me wait! ha ha
Sun Sep 12, 2010, 2:54:23 PM EDT
Suzan My fav now is Criminal Minds and I love Rizzoli & Isles too! Also Without a Trace and The Closer.
Sat Oct 16, 2010, 6:07:07 PM EDT
onlqqker I am just getting into Breaking Bad. For some reason, if a lot of people tell me that a show is really good, I won't even check it out. I saw one episode and now am catching up on Crackle and Hulu and Netflix.
Mon Sep 13, 2010, 11:22:28 PM EDT
pconners Love Love criminal minds.........wow the minds they look into....
Sat Sep 11, 2010, 8:21:23 PM EDT
pconners Castle is just so much fun to watch. I want to be there with them on their adventures!
Sat Sep 11, 2010, 8:19:43 PM EDT
crystal I love Haven on the Sci-Fi channel. and I am a huge fan of Ghost Adventures on Travel Channel. other than that most of my tv viewing is HGTV or the Cooking Channel.
Sat Sep 11, 2010, 8:11:30 PM EDT
onlqqker Yes! That is one of the few I have watched since it came on. Usually I am playing catchup.
Mon Sep 13, 2010, 11:23:17 PM EDT
pugsleyj51 My absolute favorite show is Castle! Can't wait for it to start the new season on Sept. 20th! Great police work, investigative work, a little humor, a little romance, lots of love of family. Great show!
Fri Sep 10, 2010, 4:58:03 PM EDT
I've never heard of Castle, it sounds good. Is it still on?
Tue Apr 12, 2011, 11:46:01 AM EDT
onlqqker OK, I keep hearing about Castle so I will have to check it out.
Mon Sep 13, 2010, 11:24:01 PM EDT
Jo-Anne I've never seen Castle. But, if you've watched Law & Order, I'd be interested in knowing which one you preferred - Castle or L&O!
Fri Sep 10, 2010, 6:07:05 PM EDT
Jo-Anne Hands down, Law & Order, Criminal Intent. And I'm grieving over the loss of "Bobby." He was the best! When I was verrrrryyyyyy young, I remember Saturday nites sitting around the TV and watching Perry Mason. I guess that was the start of my addiction to the crime shows.
Wed Aug 25, 2010, 9:40:58 PM EDT
Jackie I'm more a fan of L & O SVU, and used to be a big fan of the original L & O in the "early days". It started to get boring, IMO, though. I would have to say Criminal Minds, Breaking Bad, and a new one, Rizzoli & Isles, are my favorite crime shows at the moment.
Fri Aug 27, 2010, 7:56:58 PM EDT
Jackie Favorites: Criminal Minds, Breaking Bad, The United States of Tara, Drop Dead Diva, Rizzoli & Isles, 24 (Not coming back for another season, though! Phooey!)
Wed Aug 25, 2010, 5:53:05 PM EDT
