LESS than 1 in 5 single people over 50 are dating. Why’s that???

I’m 61 and I have to admit that I just like things MY way. No compromising or seeking common ground to keep the peace. For instance, I love early bedtimes (9 PM). I also like my home at a cool temperature — usually no more than 62 or 63F. I’m constantly around people so I’m not alone – and certainly not lonely. Admittedly, I miss regular sex, but there’s so much out there to worry about these days, it’s probably best this way.

So you tell me – how am I supposed to date? How’s that happen? My days are filled with a dull, boring job which barely helps me to make ends meet. In what you call my “spare” time, I’m providing caregiving for my 87 year old mother who has Alzheimer’s. And yes, she wears adult diapers. Which I buy. Which really aren’t a great conversation starter. So, maybe I should talk about a more reasonable topic – like what? Presidential politics??? But, all kidding (???) aside, I would really love time in my life for a relationship with someone who treated me a bit better than a meal-ticket or a diaper-changer. Sigh…..
