FALL AND WINTER DATE IDEAS

KATE THOMPSON

Fall and Winter Date IdeasHas Old Man Winter made a visit? Don your warmest digs and head outside (thermos of hot cocoa at the ready) and build the snow fort you always wished you could build as a kid. If you feel silly, grab some neighborhood kids to join in. Retreating to the fireside to snuggle afterwards is a perfect end to your wintry white day.

What is more romantic then enjoying the frosty weather on a public ice skating rink. Bundle up and hold your love tight as you sashay your way past other rosy cheeked lovers. Be sure to bring a thermos of hot chocolate and snacks to enjoy by the rink side.

Being 100% Canadian I can't forget to mention an invigoratingly fun date idea such as a dog sled ride. Couples need only head to the upper Canadian north to rent a team of dogs for a sled and a guide to take them through the ultimate Canadian terrain. You may get a little frost bitten but you're sure to gain memories that will last a life time.

Create your own club 54! Skip the lines, coat check and hefty drink fees by hosting a club in your own living room. Dressing up is optional (think Saturday Night Fever). Dig out those old records, move the furniture aside, dim the lights and get ready to boogie. There is no better way to feel silly together. For all those zany lovers out there, create the prom night you never had!

Gotta have faith? One great way to enrich your sense of spirituality is to visit your local temple or church or synagogue and join in a religious service, preferably a religion which neither of you already practice. Becoming a believer really isn't the goal; the experience should be enlightening or in the very least thought provoking.
