LOVE 'N LIFE: THE SUN IS SHINING AGAIN

“OH CAROL:”

Hi.  This is not so much a question as it is a comment.  Eleanor and I were married for 29 years when she died from breast cancer 3 years ago.  I thought I could never recover from her loss - she was such a wonderful partner and my best friend! But she told me before she died that she wanted me to go on with my life (see what I mean?) and so, after about a year - and with the help from my son - I signed up for an online dating site.  I felt very apprehensive at first, but I want your readers to know that I am now seeing a lovely woman. She and I have such a good time together.  We have a lot of common interests and she’s put a smile back on my face.  We’re not sure where this is going to go, but for now we’re happy. And there’s not much more you can ask for in life.  So I just want your readers to know that regardless of how awful things can seem at the moment, there can be happiness in your life.  You just have to get out there and look for it!

LOVE 'N LIFE: The Sun Is Shining AgainLOVE ‘N LIFE’S “OH CAROL” ANSWERS:

Dear Sun Is Shining Again:

Thank you for such an uplifting and inspiring letter. I am sure it was very difficult for you to get back out there and start dating after losing Eleanor. You were smart to take your time.  I am pleased to hear that your son helped you with the online dating service.  I'm always shocked when I hear stories of adult children objecting to their parents dating. It sounds to me as if you've lived a good life, raised a good kid and your good karma has brought another lovely lady to you!  "Instant Karma's gonna get you" (AND IT DID!! in the best way possible!)

Best wishes to you and your new lady!
Carol
